[edit] Azteca Dance Club

The Aztec Dance club was first introduced in the 2006-2007 school year by Mrs. Ana C. Briceño, a Spanish teacher from the Coachella Valley High School. She moved to Salton City and began working at West Shores as a spanish teacher. In the 2007-2008 school year she became head of the spanish department. There was not much interest, but it still held the interest of about 5 lady students. The following school year the interest in that particular class quadripled with a total of about 20 students, and that includes young gentlemen too. By spring 2008, some students lost interest or were unable to participate any longer, cutting the class to a total of 16 young ladies and gentlemen who still find a passion in dancing the way our Aztec ancesters did in their time.
