West Midlands Police F.C.

West Midlands Police F.C. is a football club based in Birmingham, England. They were established in 1974. For the 2007-08 season, they are members of the Midland Football Combination Division One.

The club has a long, and illustrious, history and was formed out of Birmingham City Police. The side have played in the Midland Football Alliance, as well as more recently in the Midland Combination Premier Division. The side competes, annually, in the Police Athletic Association Cup against other forces. Moreover, in recent years, the Police have played against the Queen's Own Hussars for the Hydraband Cup. This is currently to be contested in November 2007, and the return game in March 2008.

The team has in the past had many players who have represented the British Police side - notably Mark Bellingham, Ben Smith and Ollie Latchford.

The team play their home matches at Tally Ho! Police Sports and Social Ground, Pershore Rd, Edgbaston, Birmingham.

The current manager is Simon Jones, and his assistant is Craig Littler. The duo are aided by Steve Clements in his role as coach and Simon Brown as physiotherapist. Committee members include former players Gez Moore, Dave Scriven, Bob Bradford, Ian Griffiths and Steve Smith.

The team's captain is Stuart Evans, and last season's top scorer was Tom Smith.
