West Humber Collegiate Institute is a high school located in Rexdale, at the corner of Martingrove Road and John Garland Blvd (just south of Finch Avenue West). It is a feeder school for West Humber Junior Middle School, Elmbank Junior Middle Academy, Greenholme Junior Middle School, and Albion Heights Junior Middle School. The school offers a wide range of programs at the open, applied, academic, and LDCC level. The school is in fact credited as being one of the best schools for music, business, workplace training, and apprenticeship training, and is certainly considered more successful in terms of academics, compared to nearby high schools such as Thistletown Collegiate Institute and North Albion Collegiate Institute. It is also credited as being a school for good success rates in winning scholarships among graduating students. The school proudly yields impressive statistics and awards in sports, music, and other extra-curricular competition, as well as academic competitions. Most graduating students move on to apprenticeship programs and colleges in Toronto.
