- Has responded to changes in student population with increases in interdisciplinary studies, academic support programs and an increased use of technology.
- Mentoring and academic support programs to assist student achievement like General Studies Support, Supplementary Support Classes, Project BEST for African-American male students and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MECHA) for Hispanic students.
