West Hampstead stations

In West Hampstead there are three stations, one on the National Rail network, one served by London Overground and a London Underground station. These three stations serve as a railway interchange station on West End Lane in the London Borough of Camden.

Interchange between the stations is via the street. In order to complete a journey on a single ticket, interchange is permitted between the stations - for example from Richmond to St Albans, a valid route is to change here. The diagram shows the location of the three stations relative to each other. West Hampstead Thameslink to West Hampstead (North London Line) is a distance of approximately 100 yards (91 metres) along West End Lane; West Hampstead (Jubilee Line) is a similar distance to the south. Chiltern Railways services to and from London Marylebone station run along the route marked in blue; platforms could be added to the south of the present Jubilee Line station to provide interchange facilities, as discussed below.

Chiltern Railways run train services from Birmingham and Aylesbury through the area to Marylebone railway station and have suggested adding new platforms on their line and creating a combined London Underground, London Overground, First Capital Connect and Chiltern station complex on the site of the three stations.
