West Hampstead stations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In West Hampstead there are three stations, one on the National Rail network, one served by London Overground and a London Underground station. These three stations serve as a railway interchange station on West End Lane in the London Borough of Camden.

[edit] Interchange
Interchange between the stations is via the street. In order to complete a journey on a single ticket, interchange is permitted between the stations - for example from Richmond to St Albans, a valid route is to change here. The diagram shows the location of the three stations relative to each other. West Hampstead Thameslink to West Hampstead (North London Line) is a distance of approximately 100 yards (91 metres) along West End Lane; West Hampstead (Jubilee Line) is a similar distance to the south. Chiltern Railways services to and from London Marylebone station run along the route marked in blue; platforms could be added to the south of the present Jubilee Line station to provide interchange facilities, as discussed below.

[edit] Future
Chiltern Railways run train services from Birmingham and Aylesbury through the area to Marylebone railway station and have suggested adding new platforms on their line and creating a combined London Underground, London Overground, First Capital Connect and Chiltern station complex on the site of the three stations.
