[edit] History
It was dedicated in honor of Bessie B West.
For many years West has been teamed up with Marlatt Hall for most campus activities including homecomming events. This pairing won the overall homecoming award in 2003 and 2004. In 2005 it was decided to switch to Haymaker Hall.
The Hall has several traditions that are carried out to this day. Of these traditions, the most well known is the "Marlatt-West Casino Night." This event started in 1984 and has taken place in the Student Union annually for twenty-one years.
