West Exe Halt railway station

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

West Exe Halt was a small railway station in Devon on the Exe Valley Railway from Exeter St Davids to Dulverton. It opened in 1928 on the section from Stoke Canon to Tiverton as a suburban station in Tiverton and also served the large Heathcoat's mill.

West Exe was designated as a halt and unstaffed, though at busy times a porter was sometimes sent from Tiverton to collect and sell tickets.

West Exe closed with the rest of the Exe Valley line on 7 October 1963. There were no goods facilities at West Exe.
