West End High School is one of the oldest public secondary schools in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The school was established in the 1930's and attained excellent academic results in the 60's and 70's. The original school building was expanded in 1939 and a library was established using donations from Bishnu Charan Das. To accommodate the rush of admissions following good academic results in SSC and HSC exams, the school was expanded further and new buildings were constructed. As of December 2006, the school had 2200 students, 397 of which are female, and 152 teachers in its faculty, of which 6 are female.
