Grand Rapids West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is a Roman Catholic private, coeducational school and was opened in 1962. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids. As of 2007, West Catholic has been named as one of the top 50 catholic high schools in America.

The Westword is West Catholic's student newspaper. It is published on a monthly basis by members of the Journalism class. The paper is available for purchase during lunches for 50 cents. The cost of the paper includes a complimentary ice cream sandwich. The Westword, a staple of student life at West Catholic, has won many Spartan Awards, the highest honor awarded by the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA).
