West Ashton is a small village in Wiltshire, England. It is located two miles south of Trowbridge; more precisely, it lies along the A350 road between Melksham and Yarnbrook bypassing Trowbridge.
It contains the hamlets of East Town and Rood Ashton in its parish boundary. Rood Ashton House was a country house that was destroyed in stages in the 20th century. Another building of interest is the parish church, St Johns, which contains the family crypt of the Long family, visible in the bottom right of the image, formerly the owners of Rood Ashton House.
