West Ashley High School

West Ashley High school was created in 2000, when Charleston County School District merged Middleton and St. Andrew's High schools. The building is the newest campus currently in Charleston, South Carolina. It is also a part of St. Andrew's Constituent District #10.

The 2007 Wildcat football season has been the best yet in the school's history. West Ashley High School finished the season with a record of 4-7 beating Wando High School, James Island Charter High School, North Charleston High School, and Battery Creek High School. James Island is West Ashley's biggest rival. Students are known for flaunting their spirit.

West Ashley High School's volleyball team has established one of the best programs in the state of South Carolina. During the 2005 fall season the Lady Wildcats were crowned State Champions, the following year the Wildcats were runner up against Hillcrest High School. The team is led by head coach Christy Jickling, a former professional Canadian volleyball player.
