The West African seahorse (Hippocampus algiricus) is a species of fish in the Syngnathidae family. It is found in Algeria, Angola, Benin, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sao Tomé and Principe, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
