[edit] Station history
WESC-FM signed on in March of 1948 as the FM sister to WESC-AM 660. For most of its existence, WESC-FM simulcasted much of their AM's programming, which consisted of Country music.
In 2000, the simulcast was split apart with WESC-FM retaining its Country format, while WESC-AM was leased to Radio Training Network as the station adopting a Christian talk format in conjunction with Contemporary Christian WLFJ-FM.
In 2001, WESC-FM adjusted it format to Classic-leaning Country in a move to separate itself from Hot Country sister WSSL-FM. WESC-FM continues to be one of the highest rated radio stations in the market.
