[edit] What do the colors mean?
The map shows the West Bank using two colors -- yellow and green. It would appear that green indicates territory of formal PA control, but the PA has no control over any part of East Jerusalem as far as I know. Could somebody clarify this? --Doron 22:38, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Locality significance
Ariel was put back on the map based on regional significance not on population. If this is to judge what goes on the map, then should Salfit (10,000) and Tubas (16,000) be added because of their positions as district centers or governorate capitals? --Al Ameer son (talk) 04:54, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'd add Tubas, not sure about Salfit, which is small to the extreme (less than 10,000) and located right beside Ariel, which would make it practically difficult to include (many world atlases omit cities due to proximity to other cities on certain scales). -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Would just like to add that being a capital of a country subdivision does not necessarily declare a form of significance, because it's mostly a bureacratic thing (often left untouched for decades or more) and may be out of touch with reality. A good example is Ramla being the capital of the Center District of Israel. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:29, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
