I removed the 2004 fixtures, because this can be found readerly at the Wests Tigers official Home Page, it also is too difficult to update regularly and it would render the page inconsistent with the rest of the NRL pages.

Do we need to wait until the Tigers win the 2005 GF, or should we update Wikipedia now?  :O) 23/9/05

NO! You'll put the mock on them, I just hope you haven't already :P --Paul 12:05, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
Glad they got up, and that I didn't jinx them with my earlier comment! Onya Tiges! RevJohn 12:53, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

Bring it home Tigers! Needle it up Patty and get out there!

[edit] Coaches

Adding a coaches section, as with all other NRL clubs --Cyclone James 08:00, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edits?

Who took it upon themselves to remove large sections of this article without discussion? It is rude and not appreciated. The material needed to be developed but a paragraph on previous seasons (given there are only 7 at this stage) is not overblown. The point is though, you should discuss your deletion fetish (and its deleting not editing really) before you do so on these lines. Your view may turn out to have support but what you did was wrong IMHO. I am reinstating deleted portions. Please leave them until there is discussion - Tigerman2005 (23/2/7)

Also do not change the player list unless you know what you are talking about. There is a reason I deleted Scott Prince and replaced him with John Morris. Scott Prince plays with the Titans now. Leave it alone unles you are adding detail or correcting an error.

[edit] 2006

Since its now 07 and the 06 season was pretty dismal anyway I think it could be reduced in size aomewhat, the individual game headers are a bit much. Thoughts? - Tigerman2005 (May 8)

Agreed. Some clubs have articles that detail previous seasons, so you might wanna just move the information there so none is lost.--Jeff79 19:45, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Done. 2006 now has its own article. I will edit down the 2006 part on the main page since nobody seems to object! Tigerman2005 13:47, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Tigerman2005 (21/5/7)

[edit] Pounds and pence

I'd like to amend the weight section in the current player list to show kgs followed by stone/pounds rather than the way it is listed now, if no-one minds. I've never seen pounds abbreviated to 'p' before and most readers would relate more to st/lbs that just pounds, wouldn't they? Unless they are from the U.S. Florrie 05:59, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I was about to start editing the weight details for the current players but why do we need the weights, height, nicknames etc on the Club page at all? This is all information that can be covered on the individual player page in the player info box, if not in the text. A simple table with player name, country of origin and position would be much cleaner. The pages for Brisbane Broncos (good article), Sydney Roosters (featured article) and Rabbitohs (A-class article) use this format as do others. Florrie 14:30, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
See the sandbox for proposed table with corrected links.Florrie 15:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Replaced old list with rugby league squad template as no objections raised. Old list saved to sandbox for reference/cross-matching info on player pages. Florrie 14:48, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Looks good although (and this is not your fault) its so hard to tell the difference between the Aus and NZ flags! I haven't had a chance to look at the page for weeks so its good to see someone else take an interest. I think next project would be a box with every season like say the Canberra page. Just simple stuff like W/L Pts, position etc. Tigerman2005 2 July 2007

Yes, that'd be good. I've half got one done on the Tim Sheens entry (as in, half the info is already there, not that the Sheens table is half done!) Wouldn't take me long to do one up for the Tigers with the additional information. I'll have a look at it in the next day or two. Florrie 13:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Westsigers.jpg

Image:Westsigers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] "Wests Tigers are the only team that has never lost a finals match."

I beg to differ, the Titans, Crushers, Rams, Mariners, Reds, NEagles, 'Dales and poor old Cumberland haven't either :P —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.213.117 (talk) 11:53, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Page revision

Not saying anything is wrong with it but is anyone interested in discussing some of the sections to see if any revision/editing needs to be done? I'd love to get this thing up to a really high standard. Tigerman2005 (talk) 13:27, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

SpecialWindler just did a heap of work on the history in the last few weeks and made the uniform graphics for the page. I want to expand the Stadium and uniforms section and I think I'd like to see the player records/teams of the century etc on a separate page. I also have articles for Craig Field and Norm Robinson on my to-do list. What do you propose? Florrieleave a note 10:13, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I think the page is looking a lot better these says. I agree with your suggestions about team of the century and player records. I would change 'context' to background and possibly reword parts of it - mention Wests move from Lidcombe to Campbelltown and how they were kicked out of the NSWRL. Also as I suggested the map is wrong. 1908 Wests were closer to the city. I was a Balmain Football club member and I don't even remember merger with Gold Coast being seriously considered. Parramatta yes. Maybe the final paragraph should be moved into an "early years" chapter. It just seems to me the playing section should be separate from the off field stuff.
