"In the province is the only part of Papua New Guinea which is west of the 141°E line that divides it from Indonesian Western New Guinea. This is a small section of territory to the east of the Fly River."

But isn't Sandaun another province bordering Irian Jaya? — Stevey7788 (talk) 05:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but the border follows the Fly River along a small stretch which forms a natural barrier, Indonesia conceded this small amount of territory to PNG in the Western Province, which is west of the 141°E line, as it would have created an area that was difficult to administer logistically. the statement is correct Alaisd 11:33, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
