[edit] Northbrae vs. Westbrae?

I live near the intersection at Monterrey and Hopkins (Near Monterey Market, Berkeley Natural Grocery). Locals call this neighborhood 'Northbrae'. Are we really in 'Westbrae'? Gigglesworth 16:07, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

No. Westbrae is west of and adjacent to Northbrae (that's where the name comes from). Gilman + Santa Fe is Westbrae, Hopkins + Monterey (and everything east and north of that little cluster of shops - look for pink sidewalks and those stone street-name markers) is Northbrae. 209.129.161.251 18:29, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
