Talk:West Seneca, New York
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shouldn't the following section be in a diferent article? It speaks of a golf course located in Orchard Park, not in West Seneca. It is just outside of the town. This should be in an article about Orchard Park or West Seneca Rotary, not here?
An 18 hole championship course is being built by the West Seneca Rotary Foundation on a 250-acre site part of which was donated by Buffalo businessman Carl Lambein. The public golf course is scheduled to open in 2007. Other amenities will include a driving range, three hole golf teaching facility and a short game center. The First Tee chapter of Western NY is headquartered at the golf course.

I removed "West Seneca" from the communities and locations section. It seemed to be refferring to the area described in http://history.rays-place.com/ny/w-seneca-ny.htm. That area is currently in Lackawanna. See http://www.ci.lackawanna.ny.us/history.htm and maps in the Grosvenor Room of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, Central Library. Modified so that Ebenezer is centrally located. See signage within the actual town. -- Christopher Poole Jun 18 2006
[edit] West Seneca: Town and CDP?
What's the relationship between the town of West Seneca and the West Seneca CDP? The CDP article says that "West Seneca is a hamlet (and a census-designated place) in Erie County, New York ... West Seneca is a community in the center of the Town of West Seneca." But the land areas for the two entities seem to be equal, and the populations almost identical. I seem to recall from reading elsewhere that the CDP and Town are actually co-extensive. --Jfruh (talk) 22:40, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
