[edit] Shouldn't Govenor John Fulks be John WEST

West Point, Virginialists Governor John Fulks with the birthday and tenure in office of John West (governor). From what I've investigated, it appears it should be WEST, but would appreciate someone verifying my results. THANKS.Kilarin 15:11, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalization

This page has been vandalized and quite a few corrections need to made. I can not figure out how to report or repair the page, so I am posting here. I would try to fix this myself, but I am not a historian and do not know what to change things to.

Responding to the above question: While I do not know if John West founded west point, or if John Fulks didn't, a google search of John Fulks West Point reveald that John fulks is the Head Coach of the boys football team for the West Point high school.

Please also fix the remarks regarding the school's principal in the Schools section. 68.10.133.142 (talk) 04:55, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Educational information

This article states that "West Point is the only town in Virginia to have a school district which is independent from the school district of the county in which it is located." I don't believe this is true; Colonial Beach, in nearby Westmoreland County, also operates its own independent school district with a K-7 elementary school and 8-12 high school. West Point is actually one of two towns in Virginia to have a school district independent from the one operated by the county. Gilley920 (talk) 19:26, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
