[edit] Room for change or improvement
There is still an under construction sign on the main page - anyone interested in some changes or making a floating reserve of info or images? SatuSuro 00:15, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to give it a go, and hope I don't stuff anything up. :) Somno (talk) 09:40, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Changes
OK, so here's a list of what I changed, so nobody has to go into the history on dozens of pages to find out:
- Changed colours from yellow and black to natural colours. Developed three WA-related colour schemes and decided to go with the "forest" one (other options were "beach", but everybody has blue in their portal colours already, or "red outback", which was just too orange).
- Rearranged some of the content boxes.
- Merged "Selected biography" into "Selected article", which gives us more articles to choose from.
- Changed "Selected article" from showing articles at random to articles queued by month (added new articles to queue up until July 2008).
- Updated news.
- Added Categories tree.
- Added more selected photos.
- Un-hid "Things you can do" section.
- Added more related Wikiprojects and redesigned box.
- Updated Western Australia Topics.
Things still to do:
- Update "Did you know" section.
- Check if "Lists" under Topics needs updating and update.
- I'm also not sure whether to change the "Selected picture" from random to queued. Probably should, so it's the same as "Selected article".
- Remove "under construction" category when done.
I also created a large number of redirects which I have tagged for deletion, since I can't delete them myself, but other than that, I think I successfully made changes without stuffing anything up... fingers crossed. Somno (talk) 10:50, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
