Werner Randelshofer is the creator of various Rubik's Cube related programs, such as applets like RubikPlayer, and CubeTwister, a standalone application for different cube models.
The PocketPlayer, RubiksPlayer, RevengePlayer and ProfessorPlayer applets can be used to display interactive models of 2x2x2 to 5x5x5 cubes on web pages. These applets are highly configurable and are rendering realistically looking 3D models that can be rotated and twisted by using the mouse pointer. The applets can play back a sequence of moves, that can be controlled by using a Quicktime-like user interface. Many aspects of the applet can be controlled by parameters and/or by specifying an external XML resource file. It is possible to change the color scheme of the cube, apply a picture to the background and its stickers and even to define own notations for scripts.
