[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:VieuphoriaVHS.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:VieuphoriaVHS.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:38, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject The Smashing Pumpkins
I've noticed you've been making edits to pages concerning The Smashing Pumpkins. Because of this, I'd like to invite you to join the WikiProject The Smashing Pumpkins. There, you can find others to collaborate with on articles concerning The Smashing Pumpkins, and maybe even help bring some pages to featured status. Regardless of whether you join or not, thank you for your edits. Godlord2 06:07, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vinyl Adore
I noticed that you mentioned that you owned a vinyl copy of Adore different than what we currently have, and I was wondering if you could possibly scan it to replace what we have now (which is, as you said, unsourced). Thanks, --Brandt Luke Zorn 06:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SP_Zeitgeist_green.JPG
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SP_Zeitgeist_green.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 17:50, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:SP_Zeitgeist_orange.jpg
I have tagged Image:SP_Zeitgeist_orange.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 17:51, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Skunk (band)
A tag has been placed on Skunk (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 22:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Zeitgeist
Regarding your edit with the description "touched up a bit of the language... why call it "Corgan's decision to reunite the band with only two members"? whats the source on it being Corgan's CHOICE?". I didn't revert your edit because it's just as accetable, but I think what that sentence is saying is that he made the decision to reunite with only 2 members, regardless of whether that was his original intention. In the end, it's still his choice to go ahead with 2. Make sense? Cheers :) The KZA (formerly MrHate) 04:39, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fall Out Boy
You reverted literal devices saying that doesn't exist. I'd like to direct you to this site. You're probably right about the use in the article, however. :) Lara♥Love 19:33, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Wolf Man
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that you should have used the "move" feature to move the article from The Wolf Man (2008 film) to The Wolf Man (2009 film). This feature moves the page history, whereas you just created the new articles and copied/pasted. The page histories are supposed to carry over, so I'm going to request an admin to move the page histories. Just letting you know for future reference. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 03:26, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Corgan
History is irrelevant in such cases and my comment was directed at no individual. If a page is categorised based on an unsubstantiated claim then that is wrong (though it seems to be the most common of practices on this resource). There was no requirement to research the genesis of this article. 86.17.211.191 17:41, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Image talk:Billy Corgan 24.05.07.JPG
A tag has been placed on Image talk:Billy Corgan 24.05.07.JPG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD G1.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. OsamaK 02:33, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jimmy Chamberlin
Hey there! I know you've worked quite a bit on the Jimmy Chamberlin article and I was wondering if you think that a nomination to become a good article would be a good idea right now, or if you think that the article could use more work before it is nominated. Thanks for the award from a while back, by the way. --Brandt Luke Zorn 04:07, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, it's now nominated, though it won't be reviewed for a while as the music section of WP:GAN is severely backlogged right now. --Brandt Luke Zorn 04:29, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- A GA review for the article is now up, courtesy of Drewcifer3000. I've pretty much addressed all of the issues except one, which I have to ask you about. The sentence that begins "Chamberlin has a somewhat old-fashioned recording sentiment..." has been challenged for POV reasons. I don't have the source you used for it, so I have to ask you if "old-fashioned recording sentiment" or something to that affect was actually on the DVD; if not I'd recommend rewording it. Thanks, --Brandt Luke Zorn (talk) 10:17, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Coat of Eyes
Hey, I see your a Billy Corgan/Smashing Pumpkins fan, cool. There might not have been a lot written about "Coat of Eyes" YET! That's just because this information is finally being shared after 20 years and so many fans figured they knew everything about Billy and his life already. But the truth of the matter is this was the band that started the path for Billy Corgan to eventually form the Smashing Pumpkins, without "Coat of Eyes" there would more then likely be no "Marked" or "Smashing Pumpkins" for that matter. Of course Billy Corgan would have been successful in some band but there would be a very great chance it would not have ever been with "The Marked" or "The Smashing Pumpkins". I think it would be a shame for fans trying to find out more about there favorite artist's background to not have this information. Additionally I'm not sure if your familiar with Todd White but this was a quote from him on Netphoria about "Coat of Eyes" "From speaking with pre-SP musicians/friends of Billy, the names mentioned (Greg Bates, Jim Marcus, Angel Espada) are certainly legitimate. In fact, Greg was more commonly called Greggy." And another quote from another very well know long time fan Pmac "I have notes from one of my first conversations with RER (Ron Roseing) (this was back in 99) when I asked him for old song titles and he mentioned "Drowning in the Flowers" that was done with "Greggy". I would consider these legitimate 3rd party sources. Additionally, I recently came upon a link (http://www.rspaa.org/rspaa/Demos/Pre-Pumpkins/) that has one of the "Coat of Eyes" Billy and Greg's Home Demos Vol. 1 songs "I Pray For More" inaccurately listed as The Marked - August 1986 (studio demos) This song is Billy on guitar and sound effect vocals and Greg Bates on lead vocals. Let me know what we should do here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eaccess07 (talk • contribs) 04:38, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of The Barbarians (film)
I have nominated The Barbarians (film), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Barbarians (film). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] Zeitgeist
I'll help you get it up to GA; it's pretty close now, it just needs some trimming around the edges. Also, I think the Outtakes section should go, but I thought I'd ask you about it first. --Brandt Luke Zorn (talk) 04:15, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I took out "FA Stomp", but now the section's only two songs long. Shouldn't the information be merged elsewhere in the article or removed? Besides, both songs seem poised for a future release anyway. --Brandt Luke Zorn (talk) 05:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
