Wenge (pronounced 'whenj') is a rich brown colour with copper accents, taking its name from the shade of the Wengé wood it resembles.

[edit] Uses
It is rising to popularity as a shade for consumer electronics, such as Sony laptops. Other devices such as the Sanyo Exacti and Microsoft's Zune digital music player have been produced in similar shades, although they are not defined as wenge explicitly.
[edit] Controversy
The name of the colour has given rise to a small internet meme[1]. The crux of this meme is that to the English language the word wenge can seem crude, especially when taken out of context.
