Wendy Lucero-Schayes

USA diver Wendy Lucero-Schayes (born 1963-06-26), a native of Denver, CO, attended Southern Illinois University. She competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics. In the 1991 World Championships she won a silver medal. She has won 9 U.S. springboard titals and 3 U.S. Olympic Festival tital. Member of the Colorado Sportswoman Hall of Fame. Diver Athlete of the year in 1990 & 1991. She has worked as a sports broadcaster for ESPN, NBC & ABC. She is married to former NBA player Danny Schayes and is the daughter-in-law of Basketball Hall of Fame player Dolph Schayes.
