From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wendy Dascomb is a former Miss USA titleholder from Virginia. In 1969 she became the first woman from this state to win this national pageant title.

Dascomb later represented the United States in the Miss Universe pageant where she placed in the semi-finals.

Dascomb was succeeded by Deborah Shelton, also of Virginia, which made Virginia the first state in the pageant's history to have back-to-back winners.

Dascomb was the first cover story for Gloria Steinem’s magazine “MS”.
