Wendy Campbell
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wendy W. Campbell, is an La Quinta, California-based documentary film-maker and writer, born in 1951 in Tallahassee, Florida. She received a BFA in Printmaking and an MS in Art Education from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. Campbell is a self-professed "anti-Zionist"[1] and "Pro-Palestinian" activist.[2] . Many others see her as a hard-core anti-Jewish racist with close political and personal ties to Nazi white supremacist groups such as the National Alliance, the Institute for Historical Review and publications like the American Free Press and the Jewish Tribal Review that advocate discrimination, violence and genocide against Jewish individuals and organizations. Among the white supremacists with whom Campell is associated is her partner and boyfriend Mark Green, a host of local cable access show, "Flashpoint", with whom she formed the anti-Jewish website "Marwen Media", as well as the controversial evolutionary psychologist Dr. Kevin B. MacDonald. Campbell is also a real estate agent. [3] She is an advocate of the one-state solution to Palestine and Israel, whereby all non-Jewish citizens would have completely equal rights. Campbell is also a supporter of the Palestinian refugees' belief in Right of Return. Her documentaries include: "Truth: Exposing Israeli Apartheid" (2003); "Neturei Karta: Jews Against Zionism"(2004); "Rosa Remembers Palestine"(2004); and "Syria: Land of Friendly People and Hidden Treasure" (2004). She has also written and self-published a children's book called "Doodles the Dodo".[1]
[edit] Controversies
Her controversial public stances on Zionism and other issues have drawn frequent allegations of anti-Semitism.
On May 1, 2005 an article in the Jerusalem Post, stated that Campbell "promoted Holocaust denial and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories."[4] In a letter reposted on multiple websites, she responded that the article "puts forth pernicious and libelous claims" and that it "reinforces my charge that most of what passes for journalism these days, especially in the USA, is outright propaganda, mostly lies and name-calling, to covertly further a political agenda, most commonly: Zionism, and support for the Zionist Jewish state of Israel."[5]
Sue Blackwell, a University of Birmingham lecturer who was the subject of the Post article, has since removed links to MarWen Media, noting, "[B]uried in other pages on this site is some pretty nasty stuff which borders on Holocaust denial and further nasty stuff which crosses the border from anti-Zionism into anti-semitism."[6]
Campbell's website refers to "Zionist extremist activists" who have taken her words out of context or rewritten them to "make it seem as if she is a racist and anti-Jewish." Included in this charge are Indymedia and Wikipedia, which she calls racist and dominated by Jews.[7] The Jerusalem Post is referred to as a "racist newspaper", which "has made totally false claims about Ms. Campbell's point of view and others at MarWen Media."
Some articles on her site assert that mainstream US media and culture are "Zionized", while others promote Holocaust denial and Jewish conspiracy theories, including contributions from Mark Weber, the director of the Holocaust denying Institute for Historical Review. [2] Her Exposing Israeli Apartheid site sells a tape including a discussion ("Holocaust Skepticism -- the Last Taboo") with Holocaust denier Bradley R. Smith.
In a February 2004 article titled "Zionization of Miami", she questioned the accuracy of Jewish deaths in the Holocaust.
The compelling question is this: if it is true as the Zionists’ claim that there were six million Jews killed during the Holocaust under Hitler during WWII, then why has there been no complete central compilation of the victims’ names? Surely, with all the research and Holocaust “scholarship”, along with the claims and litigation that came in for compensation and reparations from Germany, Switzerland and other European countries, along with the aid of modern computers, there must be a central database with all of the names of the victims. But apparently, to the best of our knowledge, there is not. Why not? Could it be that Zionists know that such a compilation would possibly come up far shorter than six million Jewish victims?
– Wendy Campbell[8]
She has since acknowledged a database of three million names in a Holocaust museum in Israel. The FAQ of Yad Vashem's "Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names" notes that it will never be possible to complete a list of all Holocaust deaths, as some died without leaving a trace.[9]
The following year, in an article titled "About Ernst Zundel and Zionism", she wrote that "Zionists are the new 'Nazis' or 'neo-Nazis' today"; and that "Zionism is the biggest root of all terrorism and evil in the world today." She also clarified her stance on the Holocaust:
By the way, I support Holocaust Revisionism NOT Holocaust "denial". There is no doubt that European Jews were targeted by the Nazis, although the Nazis targeted many others as well. There is no doubt that the Nazis rounded up European Jews and put them in concentration camps. Even the US rounded up lots of Japanese during WWII. The Zionists are have been rounding up Palestinians and keeping them in concentration camps as I write this. There is no doubt that many Jews died in the WWII concentration camps, mostly from starvation and disease, apparently. Other than that, there is little actual proof of much of the Holocaust lore. Are you going to believe what Zionists, who are professional liars, say about ANYTHING without doing your own research? They want to make it a law that you MUST obey and believe them and never debate or question them.
