The Wends dialect or Prekmurian dialect, Prekmurian language also known hungarian: vend nyelv or vend nyelvjárás; slovenian: prekmursko narečje or prekmurski jezik, prekmurščina; german: Wendische/Windische Dialekt or Übermurgebietische dialekt is a Slovenian dialect in Hungary, and in East-Slovenia (in the Region Prekmurje) language of the Hungarian Slovenes and the Prekmurian Slovenes, family of the South Slavic languages (the traditional Hungarian name for the Slovenians used to be Vendek also known English Wends, German Wendisch/Windisch).

The Wends utter "ü" (/Wends=Slovenian=English/ Gjünác=Vol=Ox; Ülanca=Ilovica=Clay; Vkjüp/Vküper=Vkup/Skupaj=Together) and "ö" (Kjöjpiti=Kupiti=Shopping; Öčak=Sekirica=Ax) characters, frequent the "au" Diphthongs (Baug=Bog=God, Kaus=Kos=Trush, Paut=Pot=Road) and the "j" voice's (Vejndrik=Mogoče=Perhaps; Kajbinej=Kako da ne=Nope; Lejta=Leta=Year). Many the archaic words, examp. in the Second Freising manuscripts (9th century), the word mirski (abominable, hateable), as well Hungarian and German Loanword (Ferték=Umreti/Zdelan/Dokončan=Fertig=Dead/Tired/Ready; Sabau=Szabó=Krojač=Tailor). It is spoken by approximately 70 thousand speakers worldwide, the majority of whom live in Slovenia. In Hungary romour has mostly near in Szentgotthárd, together with in Somogy (Tarany village), here and there in Budapest, Szombathely, Bakony and Mosonmagyaróvár. Near relation still the Kajkavian croat dialect. The first wends book was appear to in 1715, which wrote Evangelic Pastor Ferenc Temlin.
