McLendon-Covey was born in Bellflower, California. She attended California State University, Long Beach, where she graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies/Creative Writing.

Wendi McLendon-Covey is known for her role as Deputy Clementine Johnson on the Comedy Central television program Reno 911!, a role which awarded her #10 on Maxim magazine's TV's Best Nymphos list. [1] She is a member of The Groundlings and starred in the Lifetime show Lovespring International, which premiered in 2006 and cancelled later that year. She subsequently reprised the role of Clementine Johnson in the theatrical release Reno 911!: Miami.

Wendi McLendon-Covey has been married since 1996 to Greg Covey. They live in Long Beach, California along with their three cats.
