I liked your confession, "I'm a habitual comma user, stop me before I comma again." Yes, I'm "the" Wendy Northcutt! Why is your "e" green? And do you suggest the "Semi-protection policy" page, because of what you've seen on the Darwin Awards page? I've noticed some "sour grapes" kind of posts, but overall I'm pretty happy with the Darwin Awards description. Wendy Wendy 06:09, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
- I take it you know of Wiki markup, looking at your userpage, but to explain my signature, it uses a combination of Wiki markup and HTML/CSS. The first bit in black (using a
font
tag), links to my userpage by using the pipe syntax. The second bit, a green e, for Esperanza, an organization devoted to making Wikipedia friendlier, is green and an e because the color for Esperanza is green, and its symbol is an e, first started by Redwolf24. Then I finish off my name by adding more black text in the same way, then I add a superscript tag (sup
), which raises the text, which is then inclosed in a gray font tag, which links to the semi-protection page; something I've been working to push (and has just passed). These all mean nothing to you as a newcommer, and I was just about to change my signature, but that's how I have it now. No, semi-protection is not related to the Darwin Awards, this is my signature I use all over the site when I am posting on talk pages or in votes. I have left my generic welcome message above so you can learn more about us, but really, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me or any one else on this site (try the contact us link on the box below the globe logo). The greatest thing about Wikipedia is that if you don't like something, you can always change it by clicking the Edit link! Happy editing, Mysekurity 06:50, 2 January 2006 (UTC) - P.S. What's the deal with the movie that's coming out?
