Wells Township is one of eighteen townships in Appanoose County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 249.

Wells Township covers an area of 38.46 square miles and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains five cemeteries: Croft, Davis, Hilltown, Kerby and Staten.
