Welshpercy is from the mayhill area of swansea. Now living in west germany. But his roots still remain in SWANSEA CITY . On a recent visit he met up with quite a few old school and street friends.

I walked the townhill and mayhill areas and was so sad to see how run down most parts where rubish in the streets. areas blocked off with large concrete blocks. It looks like a war zone they have ruined what was once a great place.

I was near to tears when i went to visit my old street colbourne terr my old house was gone pulled down because it had been ruined by drug addicts i was told. What a pity that things like this should happen in this day and age.

There was a time when i walk these streets day or night without any fear of trouble some years has a paper boy and some helping the milkman. Not once did i have trouble,now im told it would be foolish to even thing of setting out alone in the night there.

At the moment i live in wiesbaden germany where you are safe to walk the streets anytime day or night there a sad note that i would still like to move back to wales but not in the mayhill area.
