Template talk:WelcomeShout
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I use this form when I welcome, because more often than not, somebody else has beaten me to the first welcome. The main welcome templates have a lot of overlap, so I've picked out some policy/guidelines I find helpful that aren't in the other templates. -- Essjay · talk 08:07, Jun 17, 2005 (UTC)
Note: Don't forget that you have to list the template as {{subst:welcome4|Your User Name]] so that your user talk will show up! -- Essjay · talk
[edit] Question
How would you feel about adding a bullet point for how to sign one's name? Dave (talk) 20:24, July 12, 2005 (UTC)
Many thanks to Poli for solving our subst: problem. Good work! -- Essjay · Talk 18:49, July 19, 2005 (UTC)
Without my username I see [[User talk:{{{1}}}|my talk page]] in the subst'd template. Adding my username (as in {{welcome4|Saxifrage}}) just gives me "my talk page" without a link. Can this be fixed? — Saxifrage ✎ 21:02, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Bhadani has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}}, {{subst:smile2}} or {{subst:smile3}} to their talk pages. Happy editing!
