Talk:Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company

[edit] Article name
I've had problems with the name of this article for a while, and I would like to see what other editors think. I feel the article should be at "Wellington and Manawatu Railway", with a redirect from "Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company". I would like to flesh out this article to cover details of the WMR's construction and operation, especially as I now have access to K. R. Cassells' Uncommon Carrier, and I think that sort of detail would be more suited to the shorter title. The "Company" page could perhaps be left to detail the workings of the actual company behind the railway if there's enough to say.
Any thoughts? - Axver 01:25, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think the articles should be split - perhaps the main article on the line proper could be called Wellington and Manawatu line, making mention of the line's construction and operation by the WMRC, and keep this article as one explaining the Company itself, and its operations. --Lholden 02:33, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, I should add this is what I did with the New Zealand Midland Railway Company and the Midland Line, New Zealand articles. --Lholden 02:36, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Splitting the articles sounds fine to me.--カラム 22:27, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
