Weippe (pronounced "wē-īp") is a city in Clearwater County, Idaho, United States. The population was 416 at the 2000 census. Near present-day Weippe, the Lewis and Clark expedition met with the Nez Percé.

Weippe is located at 46°22′42″N, 115°56′23″W (46.378219, -115.939825)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 416 people, 161 households, and 119 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,009.8 people per square mile (391.8/km²). There were 198 housing units at an average density of 480.6/sq mi (186.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.12% White, 0.24% African American, 1.20% Native American, 0.72% from other races, and 0.72% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.96% of the population.

There were 161 households out of which 36.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.5% were married couples living together, 12.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were non-families. 20.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.95.

In the city the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 22.1% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 101.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $26,442, and the median income for a family was $28,281. Males had a median income of $30,694 versus $17,500 for females. The per capita income for the city was $13,175. About 16.8% of families and 24.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 36.3% of those under age 18 and 19.7% of those age 65 or over.
