[edit] Speedy deletion of Ego Systems, Inc.

A tag has been placed on Ego Systems, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.

[edit] Little context in Siemens ST55

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Siemens ST55, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Siemens ST55 is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Siemens ST55, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Opera etc

Music Drama is a specific genre of Opera, in particular it's usually applied to the operas of Richard Wagner. Category:Music dramas is really for specific musical works that are considered to be part of that genre, so the general article about opera shouldn't be part of that category. David Underdown (talk) 11:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Dear David, let me thank you for your comment. Best --Weissmann (talk) 09:44, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Der Goggolori

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Der Goggolori, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --Finngall talk 22:09, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Restoration of absolute nonsense

Hi. Any thoughts on why you think the below nonsense has ANY place in the Folk music of Ireland article?:

  • "one of the first irish folkloric musicians in a little town that no ones heard of, but its there, believe me" (What rubbish.)
  • "Another unknown yet incredibly gifted folkloric musician, living in the early 1800's ... played a variety of instruments including the flute, banjo, the saxaphone and the electric guitar" (Electric guitar in the 1880s? Absolute nonsense!)
  • "have been put on display in the "Museam of the Great Irish Muscians" located in the northwestern part of Antarctica." (What complete and absolute BS.)
  • "Uilleann ... [is pronounced] ... u-lay-an-pa-sa-twa-le-moch-uste-fol-twe". (Absolute twaddle!)
  • ETC

You (re)inserted this nonsense vandalism with this edit. I can only assume that you included this stuff by accident. If not, an explanation would be appreciated. Guliolopez (talk) 01:52, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Dear Guliolopez, you*re right. It was a little accident. Sorry for this. All the best --Weissmann (talk) 05:15, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Flagging Festspiele Balver Höhle for further review

Hello, Weissmann … I recently encountered the article about Festspiele Balver Höhle and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging Festspiele Balver Höhle (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that other editors may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now, and I am always available to help you become a more proactive contributor.

Also I understand that it may be more difficult to find references for foreign topics but personally I do not see a problem if the references are in German 3. —Triwbe (talk) 10:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Dear Triwbe, I am busy. We have to work on the article. Need help! Best --Weissmann (talk) 12:07, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Weissmann FBH 1.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Weissmann FBH 1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 11:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Dear J Milburn, this image is taken from a paper printed in 1985 for the Festspiele Balver Höhle and its audience. I gues it is a kind of "Public Domain" (Wikipedia:Public domain), so we shouldn't have a copyright problem here. Best --Weissmann (talk) 12:02, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Weissmann_FBH_1998_2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Weissmann_FBH_1998_2.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:43, 6 June 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? OsamaK 11:43, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Weissmann FBH 2005 1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Weissmann FBH 2005 1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. [edit] AfD nomination of La piccola banda

I have nominated La piccola banda, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/La piccola banda. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Ged UK (talk) 10:07, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
