Askeladden (the Ash Lad) is the main character in many Norwegian folktales In some ways, he represents the small man who succeeds where all else fails, although the means employed are not always, strictly speaking, honourable.
Found in a rather sorry state, I completly rewrote it.
The Krag-Jørgensen is a repeating bolt action rifle designed by the Norwegians Ole Herman Johannes Krag and Erik Jørgensen in the late 19th century. It was adopted as a standard arm by Denmark, the United States and Norway.
This is the really big one so far. I think the article as it stands now is a great improvement compared to the article I found. In fact, it is so much improved it turned out as a featured article.
The Dreyse needle-gun (German das Zündnadelgewehr or figuratively "firing-pin rifle") was a military breechloading rifle, famous as the arm of the Prussians, who adopted it for service in 1848 as the Dreyse Zundnadelgewehr, or Prussian Model 1848.
It's an interesting article on an interesting gun - and I hope to bring it up to FA status as well. I found it in this state...
