[edit] Relationships
I am not so sure that you can discount the idea that Captain Antilles (Sith) may have been related to Wedge. As we know, the extended universe is not canon, so the EU explanation of Wedge's parentage could be wrong. Best Regards, Anon.
- The EU is not canon when it contradicts the movies. Otherwise, they are canon. The movies do not say that the two are related, thus the EU's determination that there is no relationship is canon. --Maru (talk) Contribs 20:01, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

- If that is so, then why is their are seperate section for the EU in the SW Database? I have heard that George Lucas considers ONLY the events of the movie as happening. I just find it problematic because we run in a huge problem especially when dealing with main characters in the SW universe. Did the Emperor die in ROTJ or did he come back later a la clone as found in the EU? By your criterion, he did come back because it was explained by by the EU novel. However, don't you beleive that this weakens the significance of Anakin bringing balance to the Force? I think that Lucas does kill off Palpatine with a finality. To say that EU is canon just because it does not contradict the films may not be solid. Anyways, thanks for the response! Best Regards, Anon.

- There are seperate sections because that is considerably more convenient for disputes over canonicity, having it separated out already. "Did the Emperor die in ROTJ or did he come back later a la clone as found in the EU?" <- They aren't necessarily exlusionary. He could both die in ROTJ and return in Dark Empire. There is no contradiction. --Maru (talk) Contribs 04:53, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

- First, there are seperate sections for the EU and the movies in the SW.com database because the cases in which the EU contradicts G-Canon (the movies themselves) the movies are official canon. However, Palpatine did die at Endor. His spirit inhabited a series of clone bodies as described in the EU. As Mara points out, there is no contradiction here. Palpatine's bloody dead, he just possesses some bodies for a while. 152.23.196.162 00:38, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Would it not make more sense to say that the EU says the characters are not related, but that the films do not address the issue? Besides, it at least gives a reason for Wedge to be in the Rebel Alliance if Captain Redshirt was his father/uncle/whatever. Optimus Sledge 23:11, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] did wedge die?
I believe that wedge was blown up in a snowspeeder or xwing because in either IV or V luke said something like poor wedge or similar and wedge screams as his ship gets hit and then he plummets to the snow or surface of the death star.
By 0blItTeR8oR plz add ur contribs to this and also my R2-force...? post.
- That's not possible—he's in Return of the Jedi. I think that was another pilot who died in The Empire Strikes Back, but I forget which one. Mipadi 17:48, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

- Dack Raltiir (sp?) was Luke's gunner that was killed when Luke's snowspeeder was hit. I don't know if that's who this dude is referring to or not. But Dack did die, if I recall. – Mipadi 00:43, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, Dack died. Luke says, "Dack! Dack?" and looks back to see that Dack is dead. Wedge didn't die in Episode IV because he's in Episode V and he didn't die in Episode V because he's in Episode VI. 152.23.196.162 00:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Wedge's ship definently got shot down by one of AT-AT's, but apparently he and Wes Janson survived just like Luke did. User:Hibbidyhai
Wedge was not shot down, he is seen at the end of the battle when Luke is getting into his X-wing. Wedge is the one that waves to him and says something to the effect of "See you at the rendezvous point, Luke!" 11:19 August 26 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.218.59.4 (talk) 03:19, August 27, 2007 (UTC)
[edit] In universe tag
I moved the tag to the top of the article as it and the infobox were overwritten together in my browser making it hard to read and messy. exolon 22:44, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Wedge Antilles Ep6 DVD.jpg
Image:Wedge Antilles Ep6 DVD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
