From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

- the justification of the tv program identifying logo is because it clearly shows the program name and normally the logo is animated when shown on TV so this was easier to obtain as a still image. IT IS TOO HARD TO OBTAIN A "FREE USE" IMAGE AS IT IS A ANIMATED LOGO WHICH MEANS IT CANNOT BE CAPTURED NORMALLY

THEREFORE - IT Was obtained from the official website - [1].

IT was obtained from said source on 16 August 2007. --Shaggy9872004 11:28, 16 August 2007 (UTC)--Mikecraig 20:56, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

"No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information" (quoted from Wikipedia:Fair use).

THIS it applicable because the image cannot be captured correctly and by utilising the official logo from the network that airs and produces the show in question this certainly meets this requirement

"The material must have previously been published".

It is published at [2] - which is the program info for the show in question.

" The material must contribute significantly to the article (e.g. identify the subject of an article, or specifically illustrate relevant points or sections within the text) and must not serve a purely decorative purpose.

Fair use images may be used only in the article namespace. Used outside article space, they are not covered under the fair use doctrine. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages. They should be linked, not inlined, from talk pages when they are the topic of discussion. This is because it is the policy of the Wikimedia Foundation to allow an unfree image only if no free alternative exists and only if it significantly improves the article it is included on. "

It is a identifying show logo where hundreds of other tv shows have the show logo/image incorporated into the article as I have done in the The Wedge (Australian TV show) article. Because most article written about the subject in question do not usually show a logo of a show, I cannot produce any other logo use that exisists in published works. Also it is the only "fair use" logo or any image of any kind in the article it shows that it is not being abused in terms of the conext the "fair use" guidelines state.

"The image or media description page must contain:

Proper attribution of the source of the material, and attribution of the copyright holder (if it is different). An appropriate fair use tag indicating which Wikipedia policy provision permitting the use is claimed. A list of image tags can be found on the Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use page. For each article for which fair use is claimed, the name of the article and a "fair use rationale" as explained in Wikipedia:Image description page. The rationale must be presented in a manner that can be clearly understood and which is relevant to the article in question."

I have used the appropriate fair use tag related to the image in question and the context the image is for - IT is a Television Show logo.

IF THIS IS NOT ENOUGH - THEN REMOVE THE IMAGE AND I AM OVER IT! --Mikecraig 22:46, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
