WEC 23: Hot August Fights was a mixed martial arts event held on August 17, 2006. WEC 23's main event was a championship fight for the WEC Light Heavyweight Title between champion Lodune Sincaid and challenger Doug Marshall.

McDonald defeats Murphy by majority decision at the 5:00 minute mark of the third round.
[edit] Light Heavyweight Bout: Dan Molina vs. Rafael Real
Molina defeats Real by submission due to a Heel Hook in the first round.

Guida defeats Martin by unanimous decision at the end of the third round.
