WECR-FM (102.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Adult Contemporary format.[1] Licensed to Beech Mountain, North Carolina, USA. The station is currently owned by Aisling Broadcasting of Banner Elk, LLC and features programing from CBS Radio.[2]

[edit] History

After buying WJTP in 1996, Steve Rondinaro's Rondinaro Broadcasting changed that stations's call letters to WECR and started WECR-FM. Rondinaro, who also took over WXIT, sold the stations to Aisling at the same time Aisling purchased WATA and WZJS from Highland Communication Associates. Aisling went into receivership and George Reed of Media Services Group was appointed to manage the stations until a buyer is found [3].
