10/1/07 - I removed a substantial amount of inflammatory, apparently politically motivated content from the Edgewood, New Mexico page. This appears to be primarily election-year argument, and is not appropriate for Wikipedia. As the original author of much of the original content of this entry, I would like to ask that people find other venues for airing their differences with the Town government. The area is served by two newspapers, both of which appear willing to print a wide variety of opinions. For Wikipedia, let's stick to facts and hope that we can find a respectful and mutually beneficial means of resolving differences among the people of the Edgewood area.

You have more solid grounds for deleting that material in that is does not have any references to reliable sources. But if that other editor provides well-referenced material then you will have little basis for removing it. Your remark that you are the "original author" carries no weight in the Wikipedia community. (See WP:OWN.)

By the way, a better place for your admonition above is in Talk:Edgewood, New Mexico. When there is a dispute about the content of an article, its Talk page is the right place for each editor to provide an explanation and to try to persuade other editors. Sbowers3 22:32, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Be sure to sign your comments. Also, better to not interject within another person's text on Talk pages, see WP:TALK, esp during disagreements. I may try to move your comments, ok? Also, it's fine to use Talk to iron stuff out, meeting in person is sometimes done but by no means necessary or even officially encouraged (I believe).
