Wikipedia:Webby Awards
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Webby Awards are a series of awards presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
On April 20 2004 Wikipedia was nominated in two categories, "Best Practices" and "Best Community". Each category offers two awards - one voted for by the public in a "People's Vote" and the other selected by a jury.
On May 12 2004 Wikipedia was announced the winner of the Community category. A press release is being written for this.
