John Paul Fischer is a web developer and designer from Milwaukee,Wisconsin. He currently works as manager and lead developer for [Website Development Co.] and lives in Riverwest.

I was born in Waukegan, Illinois in a pre-placement adoption and grew up Whitewater, Wisconsin. He moved to Milwaukee in 1994 to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for Film but dropped out after one semester.

In 1996, I started contributions to Massive Magazine, helping with writing articles, doing layouts and other assitant editorial duties. I began classes at [[Milwaukee Area Techincal College|MATC] around this towards an AA in Commercial Art.

I was a professional photography developer and finisher for a one-hour photo studio during this time.

In 2000 I was hired by Voyager.net as a technical support representative for dial up users. I would take thousands of calls and emails each week helping users get their computers to connect to our network.

During this time, I was also doing limited web design and development for a couple of friends.

In 2001 I started a job for a web development firm in the Third Ward doing sales and system administration work, along with limited design duties. I was laid off shortly after 9-11

In late 2001 I launched an ecommerce website for a friend's record shop using OsCommerce. I hosted the website on my own PC and ran PHP, MySQL and small mail server off bandwidth from Time Warner Roadrunner

In late 2002 I started doing part time work for Website Development Co., finishing projects left uncompleted by the previous developer. In February of 2003 I was working full time.
