Does anyone have links to the information on integration? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.203.212.2 (talk • contribs)
Hi, I'm the editor of the student newspaper. We made some calls to Pittsburgh trying to find the issue of the Courier with the integration article, but we were told no issues in 1943 had an article about the incident. Can anyone provide a cite for that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.246.5.246 (talk • contribs)
- I wondered about the source myself. I'm just a student at the university, but I haven't significantly contributed to the article. Folkor 16:17, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tone
At the moment much of the article is written in the style of a glossy brochure; it needs to be rewritten in NPoV encyclopædic style. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:12, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I've just discovered why most of the article read like publicity material: it was cut-and-pasted from the Webhster University Web site. I've removed that material; if the article is expanded, it needs to be rewritten, and not a copyright violation. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:16, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
You have just erased hours (weeks) worth of editing & research. For what purpose?
You have nothing better to do than to destroy pages?
I have been building this page off and on for over a year now. You just destroyed a lot of that work. Who the hell are you?
You also erased other material without consulting first.
Why not erase the whole page? might as well.
Unfortunately, Wiki has no meaningful process for dealing with vandals.
Are you even affiliated with the University....an alumnus or know anything about the institution? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Musiclover06 (talk • contribs) 13:29, 28 January 2007
- If the material is copied off of another website, we cannot use it unless the copyright holder agrees to release the material under the GNU Free Documentation License, per our copyright policy. Even then, however, the text would likely have to be "tweaked" to fit encyclopedic tone. Please refrain from making personal attacks or calling other editors vandals, as the editor you are speaking to is no such thing. No one owns a Wikipedia article, and everyone is free to edit any article at any time. Seraphimblade 13:48, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Just to confirm that: the material was simply copied from various of the University's pages, all of which contain a copyright notice at the bottom. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 14:21, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New attempts
JohnShaft1987 (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log) (who is pretty obviously Musiclover06 (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log)) has just made a long string of edits (none with an edit summary) reinstating the long and badly-formatted list of supposdly notable alumni, and adding sections on the academic divisions of the university, all poorly formatted and needing seruous copy-editing; he also changed the format of the article in other ways. I've reverted it for now, because it made the article a mess, and sorting out what might stay in copy-edited form and what has to go will be a bit of a job. This is just to give notice that I haven't simply deleted it all, but will try and reinstate what I can, and what's appropriate. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:55, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] School Colors
WU has several on-site graduate centers across the nation, usually at military bases. I talked to the local administrator at my base (who has been there for over 10 years), and asked about the school colors. He said that they were maroon and "old gold" - while pointing to a banner in his office. So, what are the school colors, and do they vary between undergraduate and graduate programs? --Maclilus —Preceding comment was added at 16:34, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] other campuses
we should get a list of where else webster has schools set up. I guess Louisville has a campus... funny how there is nothing in the article that I can find about it. DaronDierkes (talk) 07:03, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
