[edit] Link not being kept
Dear All,
I have written a lot of articles on my blog www.templatesfactory.net/blog/ that adds to the explaination on Web Templates such as imporance of Web Templates, Using Web Templates, Advantages and Disadvantages of Web Templates but none of them have been kept and God know's who delete's them and fo what reason. This is the most recent one and I wouldlike this to be added definitely as a resource for this page templatesfactory.net/blog/2007/01/advantages_and_disadvantages_o.html
There are a lot of other articles on the same topic that can be found on www.templatesfactory.net/articles.html
Please add them as they add a real value to the readers

- Hi Hasan Saleem, please note the external links section is intended for authoritative reference. Random personal blogs and sites selling products (such as the one you posted) are not particularly useful. In the past, others had abused the links section simply to advertise. The link to DMOZ is now there instead, so readers who are looking for advertising or blogs can easily find them through DMOZ. You are of course welcome to contribute relevant material to the text of the article itself. HTH. dr.ef.tymac 21:24, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] TAL/TALES/METAL missing
Somehow the very smart concept of Template Attribute Languages (I'm not the one who invented it, I just created the article) must be built in... --TobiasHerp 07:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Conflation of topics
This page conflates two fairly distinct topics. One is the simple "template" web page concept, meaning a page or set of pages which somebody else has prepared and made available to be used as a starting point for others who don't have the time or skills to achieve the same aesthetic or structural results. The other is the more complex "template" for programmatically generating HTML output, as more accurately described in web template system. While most of the content in this page refers to the latter, the Open Source Templates section and at least the DMOZ link are entirely about the former. PeterHansen 01:26, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong Assumption?
Regarding separation of business logic and presentation: isn't the generic template structure entirely dependent on the business logic? Doesn't the business logic tell you what fields need to be displayed and included in the template? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.166.201.94 (talk) 09:46, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
