Spider-Man: Web of Fire is the title of a video game released for the Sega 32X and based on the popular Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The game was one of the last games released for the 32X system and thus is hard to find, commonly selling on eBay for well over 100 US dollars.[citation needed]
In the game, the player controls Spider-Man in a side-scrolling battle against the Neo-Nazi organization H.Y.D.R.A. and the New Enforcers. The player can also get assistance from fellow superhero Daredevil by collecting "DD" tokens.
Exclusively released on the 32X platform, the game inexplicably did not seem to contain any features that would have prevented it from appearing on the original Sega Genesis. Although initially poorly received by critics, its rarity has allowed it to become one of the most coveted games in collector's circles.
