Weather Investments

Weather Investments is an investment vehicle controlled by Naguib Sawiris[1].

In June 2005 Weather Investments bought Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A., the third largest Italian mobile phone operator. The total value of the transaction was 12.2bn[2].

Also in June 2005 50% plus 1 share of Orascom Telecom Holding was transferred to Weather Investments [3].

In 2007 Weather Investments acquired the Greek mobile carrier TIM Hellas from Apax Partners and Texas Pacific Group (TPG) and rebranded it to WIND Greece in a deal worth Euros3.4bn (£2.4bn)[4].
