[edit] Yearly global weather articles

This is the first in a planned series of articles covering the most important weather events during a specific year. The articles are meant to provide an overview of the yearly fluctuations in climate as well as making available quickly browsable indices of past weather events.

Planned: A template with links to the previous year as well as the following. But first there should probably be articles for some other years. Weather in 2007 will be started (by me, if not by someone else) as the first acts of this year's atmospheric drama unfold. Weather in 2005 should also be written, just for Katrina alone.
