We Are The Physics are an unconventional indie band from Glasgow, Scotland, well known around the Glasgow area. They have recently been gigging with bands such as Art Brut, Shiny Toy Guns, Electric Six and 30 Seconds to Mars. The band has also opened for Gym Class Heroes * Polysics when they played in Glasgow.
The band formed 'by mistake' in 2005, they have since been gigging relentlessly around the U.K. and Europe: trying to build a fanbase from their energetic and frantic stage-shows, which often contain a scrolling LED sign that claims they are 'OK AT MUSIC' . The band draws influences from new wave, pop, indie, and math rock, merging all four.
Since gigging more in England, they have gathered more U.K. press, including the NME and Artrocker, as well as headlining Club NME at KoKo in Camden, where they were bemused by an indie moshpit.
We Are The Physics claim to play mutant science punk rock, described by them as "...a way to make fairly derivative sound more interesting" and have been likened to Liverpool-based math rock trio Hot Club de Paris.
The band is made up of three Michaels and a Chris and are known for their trademark horn-rimmed black glasses, nerdy manner, b-movie chic/artwork and 3-D spectacles.
In 2008, We Are The Physics' video for their single You Can Do Athletics, btw (directed by Colin Kennedy) features the band as patients in a 1960s style hospital being 'upgraded' by singer Michael M, dressed as a doctor, in order to destroy a 50 ft woman attacking Glasgow.

[edit] Biography
We Are The Physics, purveyors of the completely fictional "mutant science punk rock" hail from Glasgow, Scotland and first graced a stage in 2005 by mistake when Hoggboy was cancelled. Originally known as WE ARE THE PHYSICS CLUB AND THEREFORE EVERYTHING WE SAY IS FACT, the quartet source from bands such as Devo, The Skids, Polysics, Buddy Holly & Ex Models. We are the Physics have been trying very hard to build up their growing fanbase. Known for their eccentric leg manoeuvres and bad eyesight, the band have already been noticed by people they knew beforehand and are sure to make hefty waves in the metaphorical reservoir of tunes.
The band's debut album We Are The Physics Are OK At Music was released by This Is Fake DIY Records on 05/05/08 and a headlining tour will commence in May 2008 to promote it.
