[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Interior1-TH.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Interior1-TH.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 12:09, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Octyl Acetate
If you look at the page on octanol, the link to which you reverted, you will found that the compound you mistakenly called "octynol" is, in fact, octanol. "Octynol" refers to an eight-carbon molecule (Oct-) with a triple bond (-yn-) and an alcohol group (-ol). If you plan to create more articles on organic compounds, I strongly suggest you review their nomenclature to avoid useless duplication of effort. Choess 17:25, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Request for edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Thank you for the civil response (people are not always so polite on deletion-related matters). I put the article up for prod because I do not consider the claim you cited to be sufficient to merit a standalone article, and that information is already present at the top of the factorial article. The article's title is also somewhat unwieldy, and it seems unlikely that a user would type in all the digits as a search string. -Hit bull, win steak 14:58, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for considering my opinion. I must say, I agree with you. I was 70% sure that the title would be seen as outrageous, but, since I knew that deletion was a possibility, I put it up anyhow.
Thank you.

I will apologize for any mistakes that I have made in attempting to contribute to Wikipedia. I will refrain from doing redirect pages again.
Luckily, Hit bull, win steak has been much nicer then many users, who have driven my head into the ground over this. I really didn't beleive what I was doing was so offensive.
Thank you Hit bull, win steak for being reasonable about this.

[edit] Benfer - Redirect?
Hey Wdemchick, I noticed you created this page. It reads like a disambiguation page, but Robert Benfer is the only one in it. If he's the only one that's notable enough to warrant a wikipedia article, perhaps you should instead consider making it a redirect page pointing to Robert Benfer by blanking the current content and adding
#REDIRECT [[Robert Benfer]]
Just a helpful thought --Charlie( @CIRL | talk | email ) 02:03, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
